The general manager of a Shell gas station on 32nd St. and Thomas says one of his employees was assaulted after a confrontation with a customer.

General Manager Phillip Butler says two men walked into the store Saturday night and appeared to be stealing candy. Butler says an employee asked them about it, but the men left.

Surveillance video shows the men walking back to their car and the employee following them outside.

Butler says one of the men then punched the employee and drove off. He says the car door knocked the employee down and his leg was run over.

“I want to see that guy in handcuffs and I’ll be at every one of his court hearings,” Butler said.

Butler says he’s angry and his employees feel helpless because there are a lot of problems involving customers at the store.

ABC15 reached out to Phoenix Police and is still waiting to hear back.
