A former Phoenix teacher will spend the next 25 years behind bars for having an inappropriate relationship with a young girl.
Kenne Worthen, 29, was also sentenced Friday to lifetime probation. He pleaded guilty to sexual conduct with a minor and two counts of attempt to commit molestation of a child.
Worthen, who used to be a teacher at Longview Elementary, was arrested in April 2015. Police said Worthen had been exchanging inappropriate text messageswith the then 12-year-old girl.
