PHOENIX - A 5-week-old kitten is now in a foster home after apparently being thrown out the window of a moving truck Sunday morning.
A good Samaritan witnessed the incident near 43rd Avenue and Bell Road and contacted the Arizona Humane Society's Emergency Animal Medical Technicians.
Ashliegh Goebel, media coordinator for the Arizona Humane Society, said the kitten did not receive any serious injuries and is expected to be OK.
The kitten went home with Hayley Wood from Phoenix where he'll be able to gain some more weight before eventually being adopted.
Goebel said Wood "fell in love with this little kitty fluffy face and volunteered to foster the kitty for the next 2-4 weeks."
Wood has been fostering pets with the AHS for the past year, Goebel said.
