FD: Man injured in fall from Phoenix balcony

PHOENIX - Fire Department officials say a 30-year-old man is in extremely critical condition after falling from a 4th story balcony in Phoenix Wednesday afternoon.

Phoenix Fire officials say the accident happened around 4 p.m. near 16th Street and Thomas Road.

Police say the man fell out of a window and fell onto the breezeway courtyard outside the building.

Authorities say the man was transported to a local trauma center to be treated for a broken neck.

Police say they are still investigating whether the man jumped or was pushed.

The victim has not yet been identified.
