PHOENIX - Authorities say a person was taken to the hospital Thursday night after being shot at a Phoenix light rail station.
The shooting happened around 8:40 p.m. near 44th and Washington streets.
Phoenix police spokesman Trent Crump said there was an altercation between three people on the light rail platform.
Crump said a man pulled out a gun and fired what he told police was a warning shot. The round struck one of the other people in the lower leg.
The shooting victim was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Crump said alcohol appears to be involved and the man who fired the gun may be charged with a Shannon's law violation.
The names and sexes of all three people involved have not yet been released, but Crump said he believed all three involved were male.
