PHOENIX - A family of nine is getting help from the Red Cross after a fire burned their home Wednesday.
Phoenix fire Capt. Ruben Saavedra said at the time of the fire only one adult and one child were home.
They were able to get out safely, but the house near 59th Avenue and Thomas Road is a complete loss.
Saavedra said the displaced family consists of two adults and seven children. The children are between the ages of 1 and 17.
There was no immediate word on the cause of the fire.
