PHOENIX - Three people were injured in an accident Sunday morning involving a Phoenix fire truck, said authorities.
A Phoenix Fire Department spokesman said two vehicles got into a collision near Broadway and Central Avenue at 8 a.m.
Officials believe one of the vehicles ran a red light and 't-boned" the other vehicle.
The result of that collision slid into a Phoenix fire truck that was stopped at a red light at the intersection. The fire fighters were not seriously injured, the spokesman said.
A 28-year-old woman was transported to the hospital in serious condition, according to the spokesman.
Two adults in an SUV with three children were also transported to a local hospital, he said. The children were not seriously injured and were all wearing seatbelts.
No other details were released.
