Family of Martha Sanchez searching for new leads in Phoenix hit-and-run death

PHOENIX - It has been eight months since Martha Sanchez lost her life while crossing a Phoenix street.

She was hit by a car near 28th Street and Indian School Road on Feb. 10.

The car that hit her took off, and there have been no leads since.

"I really miss her," said her daughter Josette Gomez.

On Saturday, Sanchez's family celebrated what would have been her 57th Birthday at a family home.

Over the past several months, they have passed out fliers near the scene in hopes of generating new leads.

"We don't know who to forgive, or who to hate," said her brother-in-law, Moises Baca. "It is awful. It isn't fair."

The family will release balloons in her honor.

The suspect vehicle is described as a small, dark-colored sedan.

Silent Witness is offering a $1000 reward for information in the case. You can call 480-WITNESS with any information.
