PHOENIX - The annual Volunteer Non-Profit Service Association (VNSA) book sale kicked off in Phoenix Saturday.

Book lovers and bargain hunters combed through more than 500,000 hardbound and paperback books, CDs, videos, computer manuals, maps and puzzles at the Arizona State Fairgrounds.

Proceeds from the sale benefit local nonprofit human services agencies including Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation and Literacy Volunteers of Maricopa County, Inc.

The sale goes until 6 p.m. on Saturday and runs Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Almost all books will be half price on Sunday.

VNSA will accept Visa, Mastercard, Arizona checks or debit cards with a Visa or Mastercard logo. No out-of-state checks will be accepted.
