Troopers say two people are in custody after a crash on State Route 51 Thursday night.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety says a woman got out of a vehicle after it crashed in the northbound lanes near Highland. The woman ran into traffic and was hit by another vehicle.
A trooper placed the woman in his patrol car. Officials did not immediately have a description of how she was doing, but said she was not taken to the hospital.
Another person was taken into custody at the scene for DUI. The woman has an outstanding warrant, DPS said.
No other information was immediately available.
