Officials have identified the driver that hit and killed a stranded motorist on Interstate 17.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said Ronald Hull, 61, was the driver of the vehicle that hit multiple people.

According to DPS, three people were standing outside of their vehicle attempting to change a flat fire on the far right shoulder of southbound I-17 when they were struck by a southbound pickup truck.

One of the victims, a 22-year-old man, died at the hospital. Two others outside of the stranded vehicle and a female who remained inside were all said to have non-life-threatening injuries.

Hull is being charged with one count of manslaughter, three counts of aggravated assault and three counts of endangerment.
