Your donations to Operation Santa Claus change lives through four amazing charities, including the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix. It's helping children who need life-saving medical care far from home. Children like Nolan Hemphill, who is proof that superhero strength knows no age limit.

The 3-year-old is battling stage four Neuroblastoma. Brain cancer forcing this family far from their Bullhead City home, while Nolan gets treatment at Phoenix Children's Hospital.

The Hemphills now call the Ronald McDonald House in Phoenix home. They have been there since June and it is the only home their newest addition Mark has ever known.

"They've got everything covered and that's a relief," said Nolan's Mom Chaz.

Relief in the form of free housing, laundry and meals served up by volunteers. However sometimes it is just a listening ear from a fellow family.

"There's a whole other level of support group from people here going through the same thing," said Chaz. "That understand not being able to be at your home, or having to be at the hospital for long periods of time, or having the sick child."

"Driving back and forth from Bullhead and paying for hotel rooms, we wouldn't be able to do it," said Nolan's Dad Justin.

Keeping families together, cherishing those glimmers of normalcy and hope, especially when times get tough.

"We all need each other, especially Nolan, Nolan needs us," said Justin.

"If it weren't for this place, where would be right now?" said Chaz.
