Mexican-American civil rights activist Dolores Huerta will visit Arizona to voice her opposition to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and Sen. John McCain.

Huerta is expected to speak during a news conference Thursday in Phoenix alongside Congressman Ruben Gallego and other Latino leaders.

Huerta is part of a group, People For the American Way, pushing back against what they view as Trump's anti-immigrant rhetoric.

Trump says he will be "fair, but firm" when it comes to the estimated 11 million immigrants living in the U.S illegally.

His tone is a shift from previous pledges to push for mass deportation.

Organizers are targeting McCain for continuing to support Trump.

The senator, whose primary race is next week, received the endorsement Thursday of more than 100 mayors and locally elected officials statewide.
