Cat injured in apartment fire ready for adoption at AHS Sunnyslope Campus

PHOENIX - A 4-year-old cat that was burned in a home fire has recovered and is ready for adoption.

Bella, a Tortie, was burned after a fire ignited at her family's apartment last month. The cat's family was left homeless and Bella was taken into care by the Arizona Humane Society's Second Chance Hospital.

Bella had to have her leg amputated and is learning to live life on three legs, said Bretta Nelson, public relations manager for AHS.

Bella will be available for adoption starting Tuesday, April 15, at 12 p.m. She will be available at the Sunnnyslope Campus location on 13th Avenue.

Her $40 adoption fee includes spay surgery, her first vaccinations and a free follow-up exam, along with a collar and carrier.
