Brewer announces Gigya extending operations in Phoenix, bringing 200 high-wage jobs

PHOENIX - Governor Jan Brewer announced Tuesday another technological business is expanding their operations here in the Valley.

Brewer announced that Gigya , a California-based company that assists businesses with their social media marketing, is expanding their operations in Phoenix.

The move will bring 200 high-wage jobs to the Valley over the next three years, said Brewer. The company is looking to hire workers with experience in selling marketing technology to corporations.

"When you look at the new employees entering the workforce, you have great universities here like ASU and U of A, so that was like, 'check that box,'" said company CEO Patrick Salyer.

Gigya started in 2006 and opened offices in Phoenix a couple months ago.

On Monday, Brewer announced that Apple is building one of its U.S. Manufacturing facilities in Mesa, Ariz .

The technology-giant will bring 700 quality jobs to the Valley, said Brewer.

The project will also generate about 1,300 construction jobs, she said.
