13-year-old hit by runaway driver in Phoenix

PHOENIX - Police are investigating a possible hit-and-run that injured a 13-year-old boy in Phoenix Friday afternoon.

The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. near 32nd and Roosevelt streets.

Kids who witnessed the accident told ABC15, a car hit the teen and then took off.

Phoenix police say the boy was taken to Maricopa Medical Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
