Arizona Peace Officers Standards and Training Board to take action against officers

PHOENIX - The Arizona Peace Officers Standards and Training Board will take action against several officers accused of misconduct on the job.

The board will take final action which can include revocation of the officer's badge on 17 cases.

Two high profile cases are on the list.

Phoenix officer Richard Chrisman will face automatic revocation after he was convicted of manslaughter and assault in the 2010 killing of an unarmed man during a domestic violence call.

Tempe officer Jessica Dever Jakusz' voluntary resignation will be accepted.   She is accused of tipping off a drug suspect with whom she was having a sexual relationship.

There are 17 officers on the list for final action.   The officers are from departments from all over the state.

There are also 9 new cases that the board will hear.
