PHOENIX - Arizona transportation officials say a new system is to blame for some people getting the wrong picture on their driver's permit.
According to the Chicago Tribune, technical errors have resulted in at least 8 cases of people receiving a license or ID with someone else's photo and signature.
Motor Vehicles Department Director Stacey Stanton says the snafu is limited to a "few rare circumstances."
The agency transitioned last week to the new centralized system.
Stanton says a team of employees are examining what could be causing the glitch.
She says officials don't think it's a systemic issue and that people's personal information is still safe.
Anyone who finds an error on their driver's license or identification card should immediately call the MVD.
