Arby's, St. Mary's partnering to help fight hunger

PHOENIX - Arby's is partnering with St. Mary's Food Bank. They're counting on customers to help refill the food bank shelves in time for the holidays when demand peaks.
"We've seen demand rise drastically when the economy went sideways," said Jerry Brown, spokesperson for St. Mary's. "That need hasn't diminished though so we're still working to feed a large need."
At more than 40 Arby's locations in the Valley and some in Northern Arizona, customers who bring in three cans of food can get a free Arby's roast beef sandwich.
Brown explains that supplies are especially low right now.  That is because they don't get as many donations during the summer months.
St. Mary's provides 30,000 emergency food boxes to the hungry every month.
