PHOENIX - Crews on Friday added the finishing touches to the more than 60 floats scheduled to hit the streets of Phoenix Saturday night in the annual APS Electric Light Parade.
The City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department celebrated the 25th anniversary of the popular parade, which kicked off just after 7 p.m.
The massive collection of floats and performance groups delighted thousands of spectators along the parade route, which ran down Central Avenue from Montebello, then headed east on Camelback Road to 7th Street where it turned south to its conclusion at Indian School Road.
Rain delayed the start of Saturday's festivities, but city officials said the parade is a rain or shine event, so spectators were urged to dress accordingly.
If you couldn't make it out to the parade, be sure to tune in to ABC15 at 4 p.m. on Sunday to catch our coverage of the event. You will also be able to watch the parade on ABC15.com on Sunday.
