ADOT to restrict freeway traffic in Phoenix and Tempe for Rock 'n' Roll Marathon

PHOENIX - The Arizona Department of Transportation will restrict road traffic this Sunday for the P.F. Chang's Rock ‘n' Roll Arizona Marathon in Phoenix area. The marathon starts at CityScape in downtown Phoenix and ends at Mill Avenue and Rio Salado Parkway in Tempe.

The marathon kicks off at 7:50 a.m., though roads will be closed earlier. The westbound I-10 off-ramp at Seventh Avenue will close, and northbound turns from the eastbound off-ramp at Seventh Avenue will be restricted from 4 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. Sunday.

The eastbound Loop 202 off-ramp at McClintock Drive will close from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The Loop 202 off-ramp at Scottsdale Road is restricted from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and only event traffic can make southbound turns. Additionally, no turns will be allowed from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. from southbound 52nd Street to eastbound Van Buren Street.
