7th Street reopened in downtown Phoenix after train derailment

PHOENIX - A partial train derailment in downtown Phoenix caused 7th Street to shut down for several hours on Monday.

Phoenix Police said part of the train derailed near Jackson Street under a bridge east of Chase Field.

Fire officials at the scene said materials onboard the train do not pose a risk to the public.

There are no reports of any injuries.

According to Phoenix Police, 7th Street was closed from Buckeye Road to Washington Street.

No other information was given.
