4 suspects sought after failed Phoenix robbery

PHOENIX - Officials are looking for the suspects connected to a failed armed robbery in Phoenix Tuesday night.

According to Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson, a 37-year-old was working on his truck near 28th Street and Indian School Road around 9 p.m. when he was approached by a suspect who told him to step away from his truck.

The 37-year-old man locked his truck and walked away, police said.

As the man was walking away, one of the suspects said, “shoot him.” The man was shot in the back and the suspects fled on foot, Thompson said.

The victim is in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are looking for four suspects who are Hispanic males, 17 to 19 years old. One of the suspects was wearing a bandana at the time of the incident, police said.
