PHOENIX - Fire crews responded to Echo Canyon Trail on Camelback Mountain for at least three calls of heat exhaustion on Sunday.
According to the Phoenix Fire Department, a woman in her 40s was reported to be about half way up the trail and showing signs of heat exhaustion.
Before firefighters arrived, a good Samaritan ran down the mountain to get water and ice for her. She also ended up suffering from heat exhaustion and was taken to the hospital.
The first woman was carted down the hill by firefighters and after being treated on the scene by paramedics left with her family.
Officials say while the second woman was being treated on scene, there was another woman suffering from heat exhaustion. She had walked down the trail on her own and was also treated by paramedics.
