PD looking at same suspect in 2 Ahwatukee bank robberies?

PHOENIX - Officials are investigating two bank robberies in Ahwatukee.

According to Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump, the first robbery occurred at BMO Harris Bank at 48th Street and Warner around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The second robbery happened shortly after at a MidFirst bank near 48th Street and Chandler Boulevard.

Crump said it is unknown if it is the same suspect in both robberies.

The suspect in the first robbery is described as a dark-skinned white male, 30 - 40 years old, medium build, with close cut hair.

Crump said the clothing description is different in both robberies.
