AHWATUKEE, AZ - Authorities have released the name of a man who was found dead Wednesday morning at a high school in Ahwatukee.
According to Phoenix fire spokesman Troy Caskey, there was a call around 6 a.m. for a body on the track of Desert Vista High School near 32nd Street and Pecos Road.
The 50-year-old man, who worked as security at the school, was on the ground with possible bleeding from his head, Caskey said.
The man was not transported to a hospital, Caskey said, adding that he may have been there for a while.
Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said it appears the man died from natural causes.
No weapons were found nearby.
Tempe Union High School District spokeswoman Linda Littell identified the employee as Patrick Quinn. Littell says the school is providing counselors.
According to the Desert Vista High School website , graduation is scheduled for Thursday night.
