Police said Sunday that an 81-year-old man who fell into a lake in Ahwatukee Saturday night has died.
The Phoenix Fire Department said the man fell into a lake near 48th Street and Ahwatukee Drive on Saturday night.
It's not known how long the man was in the water for, but he was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He later died at the hospital.
Police say early indications show that the drowning was accidental.
