Officials are still asking for the public’s help to find who possibly set an Ahwatukee golf course clubhouse on fire.

Phoenix fire officials told ABC15, investigators have been working to figure out how the fire sparked on February 29 near 44th Street and Knox Road.

According to Phoenix fire, all evidence indicates that the fire was started by some type of accelerant.

Officials have enough evidence to believe it was intentionally set, but they do not have sufficient evidence to support any charges at this time.

Phoenix fire said this is still an open investigation and officials have run down all of their leads.

If you have information about the fire, please call Phoenix fire or police.

The building that was set on fire sits on a vacant golf course. The golf course closed in 2013 and homeowners in the area say it is an eyesore.

Several weeks ago, a judge ruled the golf course must remain a course and cannot be used to build homes.

TTLC (The True Life Companies) Ahwatukee Lakes Investors, LLC, the owners of the land, want to build homes on the property. The neighboring community does not; they want the golf course to be re-built and maintained.
