Police working shooting call in Show Low

SHOW LOW, AZ - Authorities are investigating a shooting in Show Low Friday evening.

A spokesperson for Show Low Police said one victim had been transported to a local hospital. That official said it is not known if the victim is an officer or not.

Police said Search & Rescue Teams are looking through nearby areas to try and locate a potential shooter.

Tim Tait, spokesman for Arizona Department of Transportation, said interstate signs have been switched to read "Don't pick up hitchhikers."

A spokesperson with DPS said officers are assisting the White River Police Department and the Navajo County Sheriff's Officer in response to the shots-fired call.

No other details were immediately available.
