Secret Fire burning northwest of Sedona

Fire crews are responding aggressively to a 15-acre wildfire burning northwest of Sedona.

Officials say the Secret Fire, which started Saturday, was caused by a lightning strike.

Approximately 80 people are battling the fire including three hotshot crews, an air tanker, helitanker, and light helicopter.

Officials say firefighters have kept fire growth to a minimum, and no homes or property nearby are being threatened at this time.

A temporary closure is in place for the fire area, including a portion of the Secret Mountain and Loy Canyon trails.

Signs are posted and patrols are in the area making contact with any visitors.

Officials say this is a remote location that's not highly used by the public.
