SEDONA, Ariz. - Deputies in northern Arizona are looking for the public's help after a home was burglarized and thousands of dollars in coins, and cash were taken.
Yavapai County Sheriff's spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn said that on December 9 deputies were called to a home on Boynton Pass Road in Sedona just before 8 p.m. for a report of a burglary.
The resident had returned home to find glass in a back door smashed out and believing someone may have been inside waited with a neighbor until deputies could safely clear the home.
No suspects were found and when the resident went through the home she found a storage room door had been pried open and gold and silver pieces valued in the thousands of dollars were gone.
Also missing was $80,000 in cash in bank envelopes.
D'Evelyn said the exact value of the items is still being determined.
