SEDONA, AZ - The names of four people who died in a plane crash in Sedona on Sunday have been released.
The Yavapai County Medical Examiner has confirmed the identities of the pilot and three passengers.
Jonathan McGeary, 22, from Flagstaff, Arizona has been identified as the pilot of the plane that crashed within Fay Canyon.
The others were identified as 23-year-old Levi Wallace from Prescott, Arizona, 18-year-old Johanna Nabor from Shellbrook, Saskatchewan, Canada and 19-year-old Sabrina Giebelen from Kefeld, Germany.
The crash of the single-engine aircraft sparked a small wildfire within the canyon.
The bodies of the four victims were recovered around 1 p.m. on Monday using a Department of Public Safety helicopter.
Hikers had reported seeing a low-flying plane go over a ridge and disappear.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
