PRESCOTT, AZ - The remaining restrictions related to the Yarnell Hill wildfire near Prescott was lifted Wednesday morning, according to officials.
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office confirmed that all checkpoints were lifted at 6 a.m.
Highway 89 has opened to all traffic, and residential areas -- including a majority of the neighborhoods damaged by fire.
Residents were urged to evacuate earlier this month as the fast-moving fire spread closer to Yarnell homes and structures.
The YCSO announcement comes the day after 19 firefighters killed battling the blaze were honored in a Prescott Valley memorial service.
Thousands came out to support the fallen Granite Mountain Hotshot members, including family members, friends, residents and complete strangers.
