Nineteen members of the Granite Mountain hotshot crew were remembered Tuesday morning at a memorial service in Prescott Valley, Ariz.
Thousands of people, including families, firefighters, police officers, government officials and the general public, gathered to thank, honor and celebrate the lives of the fallen firefighters.
Family, friends and service members filled Tim's Toyota Center where the memorial took place. Thousands more brought chairs and umbrellas, equipped with American flags, to watch the service from giant screens outside.
You can view the entire service on abc15.com or watch a three-minute recap, including Brendan McDonough's reading of "The Hot Shot's Prayer", in the video player above.
