PRESCOTT, AZ - Three Yavapai County communities have generally seen a drop in the number of violent crimes reported over the last year.
The Daily Courier reports that Prescott had no homicides this year, down from two in 2012.
The city also had seven forcible rapes, down from 13.
Chino Valley reported one homicide in 2013, down from 2 in 2012.
It also has experienced a drop in sex offenses from 23 to 19.
Prescott Valley reported no homicides in 2013, down from four in 2012.
Robberies in Prescott Valley dropped to six this year, down from seven last year.
And in unincorporated Yavapai County, homicides were also down, from three in 2012 to one in 2013.
Burglaries decreased from 434 last year to 345 this year.
