Scottsdale man, Max DeAngelis, arrested for assault with a knife

PRESCOTT, AZ - A 22-year-old Scottsdale man is facing assault charges after he allegedly attacked a Prescott man with a knife.

Prescott police spokesman Lt. Ken Morley said the incident happened around 7:20 p.m. at a downtown Prescott bar.

Morley said Max F. DeAngelis assaulted the 36-year-old man after the two got into an argument.

The victim received a cut on his nose which he told police was caused by the suspect's knife.

Prescott Police Officers spoke with several witnesses and located DeAngelis who was still at the bar. Officers also recovered the knife from a friend of the suspect.  

Morley said DeAngelis admitted to the altercation, but denied using a knife.

DeAnglelis was taken into custody for aggravated assault and two misdemeanor warrants out of Prescott City Court. He was then booked into Yavapai County Jail.  

Morley said the victim's injuries were minor and he did not require emergency medical attention.
