Prescott PD: 14-year-old student burned two others with glue gun

PRESCOTT, AZ - A 14-year-old student was booked into the Yavapai Juvenile Detention Center after he allegedly burned two other students with a glue gun.

According to Prescott police, the incident happened at Prescott Mile High Middle School around 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say a 13-year-old male was burned on the arm and hand with the glue gun and hot glue. A 12-year-old male was burned when the suspect took a small piece of wood with hot glue on it and pressed it against the victim's neck.

The 14-year-old suspect was already on probation in Yavapai County for previous crimes and police say he told them he was not mad or upset with the victims, but "just messing around."

Both victims' injuries were red and blistered and they were treated at the school. It was not known if additional medical treatment was required.

The 14-year-old suspect was booked into jail on two counts of aggravated assault.
