PRESCOTT, AZ - A Prescott pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Wednesday night before the driver took off, leaving the man seriously injured, according to the Prescott Police Department.
Wednesday night at about 9:45 p.m., Wesley Cron, 38, of Prescott was struck by a vehicle. Police said the driver slowed the vehicle just before hitting Cron, but that he took off afterwards without stopping.
Police said in a press release that according to witnesses, Cron appeared to be crossing the street when the car hit him.
Cron suffered several injuries including head wounds. He was taken to JC Lincoln Hospital in Phoenix and is currently in stable condition.
Police said the driver and the vehicle have not been identified and that the investigation is still ongoing.
