PRESCOTT, AZ - Fire Chief Dan Fraijo will step down from his position with the Prescott Fire Department starting November 15, the Daily Courier said Friday.
The City Manager said the decision was a "mutual agreement" though Fraijo says otherwise, the Daily Courier reports.
"There's an agreement that when I was hired that said at any given time, either side could give 30 days notice and I would leave or could leave," Fraijo told the Courier.
Fraijo worked with the Fire Department for over 50 years and started as a firefighter.
Fraijo told ABC15 he plans to retire.
