PRESCOTT, AZ - A spokesman for the Prescott National Forest said a wildfire that started Monday afternoon is "all but out."
Forest officials said they got a call around 4 p.m. that the fire had erupted in the forest.
The fire could be seen about seven miles east of Wilhoit, just south of Prescott.
Fire officials said Tuesday they have secured the perimeter of the fire which scorched about 100 acres.
Firefighters plan on checking the area again Wednesday morning to make sure the fire is completely out.
