PRESCOTT, AZ - Fire officials say crews hope to have a wildfire near Prescott fully contained in one more day.
Officials said Tuesday evening that the 10.5-square-mile Doce Fire in the Prescott National Forest was 80 percent contained.
The blaze has cost almost $6.3 million to fight and forced hundreds of residential evacuations, which have since been lifted.
The fire began June 18 and has charred dense brush and timber in the Granite Mountain Wilderness about seven miles northwest of Prescott.
Investigators say the Doce Fire was human-caused, but haven't determined the exact source yet.
Granite Basin Road remained closed to the public and can only be accessed by residents with valid identification
