Doce Fire, how to help: Red Cross sets up shelter at Yavapai College

PRESCOTT, AZ - As crews battle the rapidly growing Doce Fire near Prescott, there are ways you can help affected residents.

If you would like to make financial donations to the Red Cross, you can do so online at www.redcross.org/donate.

You can also call 1-800-733-2767.

Evacuated residents who wish to reconnect with loved ones are urged to register through the Red Cross Safe and Well website at wwww.safeandwell.org.

The Red Cross Grand Canyon Chapter set up a shelter Tuesday night at Yavapai College in Prescott for evacuated residents, located at 1100 E. Sheldon Street.

Local restaurants and stores supplied pizza and breakfast foods for residents who stayed the first night.

They have nurses, mental health volunteers, and snacks and bottled water on site.

Animals in Disaster is also sheltering pets at the college.
