A 61-year-old man has been arrested for sexual exploitation of a minor.

The Prescott Police Department started an investigation into Dewey resident Brian Hoyle in June that eventually led to his arrest in September.

According to police, the investigation began after a concerned person reported that a man, Hoyle, had shown them pictures from his phone of what appeared to be an underage girl.

After serving a search warrant in August, police found multiple photos on his computer of girls, determined to be under the age of 15, in sexual acts either by themselves or with other men.

Police were also able to determine during the investigation that Hoyle had contact with several people, some underage, on the internet with whom he would exchange pictures and video. They also discovered he would hang around public areas with a parrot on his shoulder to attract the attention of minors.

Hoyle was taken into custody on September 14th and booked into the Yavapai County Jail on ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Detectives are still looking for anyone that may have encountered Hoyle or have seen him interacting with young individuals.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Prescott Police Department. Those who wish to remain anonymous can contact Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232.
