PRESCOTT, AZ - Authorities in northern Arizona say an operation targeting prescription-drug dealers and users has led to 22 arrests.
Members of a police task force called Partner Against Narcotics Trafficking previously had arrested 20 as part of "Operation Rx Clean-up" in Yavapai County.
The operation focused on the sale and possession of prescription drugs as well as fraud.
County sheriff's officials say the suspects were detained in those cases because they were likely to flee or the activity presented an immediate danger to the community.
Authorities say at least nine of the people arrested Wednesday were age 26 or younger.
