BLACK CANYON CITY, AZ - Authorities are looking for a suspect who stole money from a Black Canyon City restaurant then turned off power, resulting in thousands of dollars in ruined food.
On September 1, a burglary occurred at Beni's Pizza, located in the 34500 block of Old Black Canyon Highway.
According to video security images, the lone suspect broke a window and entered the building at approximately 12:30 a.m. Once inside, the suspect stole several hundred dollars in cash from the front counter and office. The suspect also turned off the restaurant’s power, resulting in extensive damage to refrigerated food products. At least $2,000 worth of food was ruined.
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office says the suspect is described as a male with medium build, between the ages of 20 and 30. He was wearing a hooded jacket with a camouflage design, shorts, black sneakers, and white socks.
