YARNELL, AZ - A small Arizona town is scrambling to protect what is left of its borders after a wildfire tore through the northern Arizona wilderness.

The Yarnell Hill Fire started Friday and has grown to more than 8,000 acres amid triple-digit temperatures, low humidity and windy conditions.
The fast-moving blaze also claimed the lives of 19 firefighters.
"The entire hot shot crew had been killed by the fire," he said. He said that the firefighters had to deploy the emergency shelters when "something drastic happened."
