SEDONA, AZ - Residents forced to evacuate due to a wildfire burning in northern Arizona will be allowed to return home Thursday.
Officials working the Slide Fire announced the decision Wednesday evening during a community meeting in Sedona, Ariz.
Electricity is expected to be restored to all homes by 4 p.m. on Friday.
The Slide Fire started Tuesday, May 20, and has burned nearly 32 square miles, however, officials said containment has reached 45 percent.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire, but believe it was human-caused.
