Mohave County Sheriff's Office is warning residents of Golden Valley about a man who tried to grab a young girl near a school.

According to the sheriff's office, a 9-year-old girl was leaving Black Mountain Elementary School around 4 p.m. on Friday when she was grabbed by an unknown man. The man reportedly told the girl to go with him, but for she was able to escape with only a scratch to her arm. A bystander also saw the incident and told the man to leave the girl alone.

Officials say the man is between 30 and 40 years old, has short brown hair that's slightly grey and has a skull tattoo near his hand and wrist area.

The suspect was driving an older, two-door truck that has been described as red, blue or a combination of red, white and blue.

He was last seen wearing a brown, short-sleeved shirt with a fish on the back and blue jeans.
