Pilot walks away from plane crash in Northern Arizona

HOLBROOK, AZ - A pilot was able to walk away from a plane crash that happened Friday morning northeast of Pinetop.

The pilot, Robert Wolff was on his way to Mexico when his plane suffered an oil failure.

The single engine plane went down in a wooded area off of Road 45. Wolff was able to use his cell phone to call the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) about the crash.

Wolff was transported to the hospital for a medical evaluation, there is no word on his condition at this time.

The FAA is currently investigating the crash.
