KINGMAN, AZ - A 27-year-old man is facing aggravated assault charges after allegedly choking his girlfriend because she couldn’t cook dinner fast enough on Saturday evening.
According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, a physical altercation took place between the couple as a result of the girlfriend’s slow cooking.
The 22-year-old victim told officials that Dustin Eric Green, 27, had threatened to beat her with a rubber mallet but instead began to choke her.
The woman grabbed a knife and stabbed Green in the leg. According to officials, Green began beating the back of her head.
Mohave police responded to a home near Thompson and Northern avenues around 6 p.m. and found Green had two warrants for violation of his probation and failure to pay fines at two different Kingman courts.
Green told officials of his stabbing wound and he was taking to the Kingman Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released.
The suspect was booked into Mohave County Jail.
